T-Probe Pipe is a temperature sensor designed to measure the surface temperature of pipes. T-Probe Pipe, employs a special mold form; flat on one side, with the
DS18B20 sensor exposed on the flat side. In addition, the T-Probe Pipe has a groove molded into the round side to retain a physical clamp or zip tie, which will hold the
DS18B20 temperature sensor securely and in direct contact with the pipe.
The two wires coming from the molded sensor are ground and Data. The AUX line is tied to ground internally, resulting in a parasitic only device. The 2 conductor, 18 gauge wire (1,02 mm) and 60 cm cable comes with exposed and stripped ends. The 18 gauge wire will accommodate wire nuts or connectors of the users' choice. There is nothing special about the cable length, the user may shorten or extend to the required length. The maximum length will be determined by the normal 1-Wire buss criteria; available power, buss weight, RFI, etc.
The media type used in iButtonLink molded products is OM633;

Temperature response and settling times are shown in Appendix 1 of the
T-Sense Manual, along with the full spec sheet on the
DS18B20.
Features
- High accuracy and resolution
- Very rugged construction
- Compatible with most 1-Wire software
- The 1-Wire address barcode (128A) provides an easy way to identify an individual sensor and an accurate way to log the address
